Official Update
';
  • Today we’re featuring a very special update for a very special community.
  • For anyone that may be new to our world, FreeJack Online is a parkour-style racing game for the PC. It was released in 2010 and shut down prematurely in 2012. FreeJack gained a cult following and our team is now giving it a reboot! We are in collaboration with the former license holders and owners(s) of FreeJack, and so if you’re wondering whether this is a private server or spin off, rest assured that FreeJack Online is NOT a private server; it will be a fully licensed rendition of the original game if the funding requirements are met.
  • The game is currently being ported to Unity by our developers and any footage in this showcase is from our latest build of FreeJack Online direct from the Unity Engine. Although functional, much of the game and its features require further testing and refactoring, so it’s really not in any state to be released soon. Without a doubt this may be frustrating to hear but a bit of patience will be required from the community as we focus our attention on patching bugs and improving overall gameplay.
  • Our first milestone will be to deliver a fully functional map of FreeJack Online by 28JAN2022. These map(s) will then be turned over to our Patreon supporters for alpha testing, likely in the form of a dedicated server that will allow players to test various features and provide feedback on the overall feel of the racing mechanics (also to identify and report bugs via our tracker). To anyone that has supported our project via Patreon, our team is thankful for the generosity, know that you will be given privilege to test the game in its alpha state over others.
  • There is a lot of work left to publish FreeJack Online. But rest assured that our team is working diligently. We’re looking to release a quality product and will take the time required to meet the standards and vision that we have set for FreeJack Online. The project will in no way be rushed.
