Informal Update
';
  • It’s been some time since we’ve had the chance to give the community a progress update.
  • Let’s review some of the more recent accomplishments.
  • Team Expansion: Team FreeJack has grown since our last update. We have now on-boarded Khan as our 2nd developer to work in Unity alongside our lead PolarBear. Saya has migrated from coding to a project coordinator role. And we are looking to fill the role of an animator or modeller, so if there’s anyone you know that may fit that position feel free to direct them our way. All in all we are very fortunate to have such talented people giving it their all to transform FreeJack Online from concept to reality.
  • Game Play: Our developers are still working hard to meet the objective of having a working demo of FreeJack Online by the end of the New Year (31JAN2022). As noted in our official update a strong focus has been placed on debugging the world. This means refactoring some of the legacy code and textures or animations to allow for some modernization when it comes Unity. It can be tedious work, but our team is quite dedicated.
  • Social Media: Our advertisements are now split on Twitter and Facebook, we’re fully engaged in analyzing our metrics. The Patreon donations are especially critical to this time period as we gear up in anticipation of our full-blown KickStarter campaign. The success of any crowd sourcing is going to come down to our ability to reach out to the gaming community for support. Our goal is to self-publish FreeJack; this way we can retain full control over the world. Look out for some of our advertisements on either Facebook or Twitter, and let us know if you happen to see it on social media.
  • Twitter Contest: We’ve been so busy working on FreeJack that we missed the mark to announce the winner of the Twitter Contest! Everyone make sure to give Brescaz a pat on the back or a congratulations in our Discord as the winner of the (now expired) event: Event #3. Rest assured we’ll have plenty of contests in the near future, be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or join our forum to stay up-to-date otherwise you might miss it!
  • Official Update: For any runners that have been out of the loop and missed our official update, there’s a link below to our Youtube. Leave a comment or like to boost our algorithm – it helps give us that bit of extra exposure.
